Ashley Fullerton’s Story
Founder of Grass Roots Landscaping
Thank you for visiting Grass Roots Landscaping! My name is Ashley Fullerton, founder and owner of this Marin County-based landscape and gardening service. For nearly twenty-five years, I’ve delighted clients by harmonizing nature with their homes.
Born and raised on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, my love for plants began early, helping in my mother’s herb and flower garden. After earning a business degree and moving to San Francisco in 1989, I fell in love with Northern California’s landscape and year-round growing season. Three years later, a gardening class reignited my passion for nature, leading me to leave my corporate job and pursue horticulture full-time at the College of Marin. Studying under renowned horticulturalist Louis Hunt, I merged my business knowledge with a deep understanding of Bay Area horticulture. I’ve worked with clients from the Ritz Carlton to local homeowners, and I’m proud of the long-term relationships I’ve built.
When not gardening, you’ll find me hiking in the San Geronimo Valley, visiting Cape Cod, or spending time with my husband and two boys.
